WHITE DATACENTER

WHITE DATACENTER

In Bibai City, Hokkaido, we are working on building a data center that uses snow-cooled thermal energy to reduce power consumption.

White Data Center Inc. (WDC) possesses an innovative technology that utilizes snow as a cooling source, enabling server cooling—which typically accounts for half of a data center’s total energy consumption—to be reduced to zero cost.

This breakthrough not only achieves zero CO₂ emissions but also realizes a PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) of 1.04, setting a new benchmark in data center efficiency.

The Role of REIFA

We visit the site directly to gain a deep understanding of WDC’s core technologies, motivations, and philosophy, laying the groundwork for market expansion.

As WDC’s agency partner, we actively promote its solutions through our established networks, participation in North American technology exhibitions, promotion on North American data center platforms, and strategic use of SNS and other channels to continuously develop new customers.

PLANT TECHNOLOGY

LIGHTING PROTECTION SYSTEM

Modern plants are increasingly equipped with precision electronics due to the rise of DX and AI, making them more vulnerable to lightning-related control system failures. This risk not only threatens human safety and physical assets but also leads to significant opportunity loss and long-term business damage.

Critical Facility Group (CFG), headquartered in Singapore, offers technologically advanced lightning protection systems with a high degree of customization tailored to client needs.

The Role of REIFA

Having gained in-depth knowledge of CFG’s lightning protection technology, we introduce it to clients across various plant-related industries.

As CFG’s agency, we engage in detailed technical consultations with clients to precisely identify the areas requiring protection and provide end-to-end solutions—from consulting and equipment procurement to engineering and construction arrangements.

TECH. CONSULTING

TECH-MATCHING BETWEEN INDIA & JAPAN

Japan’s manufacturing technologies remain among the world’s leaders, and overseas demand continues to grow. We help foreign clients who wish to import Japanese technologies, products, and services through careful needs assessment and export arrangements.

At the same time, many Japanese manufacturers seek high-quality yet cost-effective procurement overseas, with India—renowned for its advanced technical capabilities—drawing increasing attention.

Industry Co., Ltd. has been a pioneer and professional bridge between Japan and India for over 30 years, supporting manufacturers and technology trading companies in both countries.

The Role of REIFA

Technical negotiations—covering specifications, pricing, and cultural considerations—can determine the success or failure of a project.

In partnership with Industry Co., we engage in technology negotiations, new vendor development, and demand creation across Japan and India, leveraging our expertise in cross-cultural coordination.

PLANT TECHNOLOGY

ECO-PLATE

The Eco Plate is a simple yet effective solution: by placing it at an air conditioner’s intake, energy efficiency improves significantly. It is applicable from household to industrial systems and has been widely adopted both domestically and internationally.

The Eco Plate has demonstrated 10–25% reductions in energy consumption, delivering strong cost-effectiveness and high customer satisfaction.

The Role of REIFA

As an Eco Plate distributor, we provide comprehensive solutions—including consultation, engineering, component procurement, and installation—based on a careful assessment of each client’s existing air conditioning systems and power consumption.

We recommend Eco Plate as a practical and immediate solution for reducing energy usage.

WAZA SHOP

WAZA Inc. plays a key role at JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles, one of three global hubs established by Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to strategically promote Japanese industry and culture. From wholesale to retail, WAZA excels at introducing authentic Japanese cultural products, from traditional crafts to uniquely storied goods, to an international audience in Los Angeles.

The Role of REIFA

We serve as a coordinator between WAZA SHOP and domestic suppliers, aligning philosophies and strategies to ensure successful market entry.

For example, in the exhibition and workshop featuring Sanshu Onigawara (ornamental roof tiles) at JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles, we worked closely with WAZA on customer engagement and with Yamamoto Onigawara Industry on traditional craftsmanship strategy—achieving outstanding results.

With bases in Japan and Texas, USA, REIFA JAPAN ensures swift and effective coordination both geographically and operationally.

EXPORT OF JAPANESE CULTURE

ONIGAWARA

Yamamoto Onigawara Industry, founded in 1907, has dedicated itself to the handcrafted production of onigawara roof tiles, supplying not only national treasures and cultural properties but also numerous public facilities. While Japanese traditions such as cuisine and kimono are highly valued in the US, onigawara and its production process hold unique niche demand in this context.

The company’s driving force is not profit but a profound sense of mission to preserve and transmit traditional craftsmanship.

The Role of REIFA

At JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles, we coordinated the exhibition and workshop of Sanshu Onigawara in partnership with WAZA and Yamamoto Onigawara Industry (see “WAZA SHOP”).

Our involvement was driven by a commitment to support the succession of traditional skills and expand recognition of onigawara in the US. Although not a mass-market product, we see strong traction in niche markets and continue to pursue expansion.

EXPORT OF JAPANESE CULTURE

KIMONO RECYCLE

Hanamizuki specializes in repurposing cherished family kimonos, transforming them into miniature kimonos, umbrellas, or accessories—preserving memories in tangible forms. They also create unique products such as bags and jewelry from kimono fabrics sourced at markets.

The Role of REIFA

Japanese culture enjoys strong popularity in North America, yet understanding how locals perceive it requires on-the-ground insights.

Through market research and cultural analysis, we collaborate with Hanamizuki to adapt products to local tastes, refine approaches, and expand sales channels, including EC platforms.

EXPORT OF SUSTAINABLE FOODS

MATCH-AOJIRU

Revitalizing Japan’s traditional sericulture industry, mulberry leaves are now used to produce Aojiru (green juice). The leaves are organically grown without pesticides in rich natural environments.

Packed with dietary fiber, polyphenols, oligosaccharides, and lactic acid bacteria, mulberry leaves are known as a “drinkable salad”, supporting health-conscious lifestyles. To maximize nutrition, the leaves are stone-milled into fine round particles.

The Role of REIFA

We provide consulting for North American market entry—including packaging design tailored to local preferences, retail distribution such as supermarkets, and online sales through Amazon.

OVERSEAS EXPANSION OF LOCAL JAPANESE SPECIALTY PRODUCTS

End-to-End Sales and Logistics Solutions

Through our partnership with Japan Post’s Around the World and global platforms such as Amazon FBA and eBay, we deliver Japanese food and products to international markets with seamless logistics support.

The Role of REIFA

Japanese food enjoys strong demand in North America. Leveraging Japan’s advanced freezing technology, we collaborate with food manufacturers and Around the World to develop ready-to-eat frozen foods for overseas markets. We also support product development, marketing, and participation in events to expand overseas sales.

EXPORT OF SUSTAINABLE FOODS

SNOW FOOD

At the White Data Center in Bibai City, Hokkaido, waste heat is repurposed for agricultural production and food processing, while harvested snow is used to age rice and other products.

The Role of REIFA

We support the overseas promotion of Snow Food, particularly in North and South America, through participation in exhibitions and by leveraging special business connections to secure demand.

OVERSEAS EXPANSION OF LOCAL JAPANESE SPECIALTY PRODUCTS

Bamboo-Based Goods and Cosmetics

Across Japan, many regional specialties of exceptional value remain undiscovered globally. In markets like North America, where industrialized food dominates, handcrafted and environmentally friendly products are seen as treasures.

Ethical Bamboo has successfully redefined bamboo—often considered waste—by producing towels, detergents, and containers, transforming it into a thriving business.

The Role of REIFA

Sustainable materials are now a global standard. However, when positioned within a uniquely Japanese cultural context, bamboo products gain even greater resonance abroad.

We collaborate with Ethical Bamboo to develop its business in North America, engaging in local negotiations, marketing strategies, and execution to ensure effective market entry.
